In my point of few i believe that the situacion was so sad, its sad that so many African American and some Whites got killed just because they wanted to become united as a coutry but unfortunaltly rasism was way stronger. and there was also a ittle of ignorance going on. and its so sad that this great people got murdered because of the color of their skin.May they rest in peace.

1) If i were a freedom rider on a freedom ride today, I think i would go to Jena Louisiana because even though people fought during the civil rights movement to end racism it still exists today in the 21st century. No one knew that Jena was such as racist place until this story about 6 black boys charged with beating up these white boys because they were sitting under the "whites" tree. If i had an opportunity I would go to Jena and protest, I don't feel that it is right that only the blacks kids are going to jail, they were trying to defend themselves. If any thing everyone should have been charged. I also think that those ignorant people need to be educated so they wont find a need to judge.

2. I believe that all the African
Americans and some of the Whites
that did this protest doesn't
deserve this terrible fate. Racism
could be the cause of this. I hope
that they can rest peacefully.

If I could participate in any civil rights movement I would participate in the bus boycott. In my opinion I feel like this was one of the most effective movements. It was also very smart because they hit the white people in their pockets where it would really hurt. When you mess with a persons money you can get the reaction you're looking for. The boycott didn't involve any violence and the black held the upper hand. So if I was born around that time I would participate in the bus boycott.

If I was to plan a freedom ride i think i would plan to travel to where ever the kkk is still around and show them that whites and blacks can get along and that racism should be put aside.
